Description

A period cottage in a discreet setting

Description

Tucked away in a bespoke collection of flint buildings, set within wooded grounds in a discreet part of Holt, The Stables offers excellent convenience for the café culture of Holt, yet within calm surroundings.

With plenty of charm, and with future proofing lateral living, The Stables has a well-designed layout that feels spacious and light. A panelled entrance hall leads into a utility/boot room, practical for when returning from coastal walks nearby. A spacious living room, with impressive, vaulted ceilings, is a lovely room to enjoy, complete with door out to a south facing courtyard garden. The kitchen/dining room again enjoys vaulted ceilings, creating a feeling of space, and has fully fitted shaker style cabinetry with integrated ovens and induction hobs.

The well-arranged accommodation continues with the two bedrooms grouped at the back of the cottage, served by ‘Jack and Jill’ bathroom in between. Both bedrooms are double bedrooms, with the principal bedroom complete with French doors out to a further courtyard garden. Each room again has vaulted ceilings, with exposed flint work adding character.

The property has under floor heating throughout.

Outside
The Stables crucially includes an area of private parking adjoining the house. This is gravelled, and includes an EV car charger, with two allocated parking spaces.

To the south of the house, a paved courtyard garden is a complete sun trap and the perfect spot for some al fresco dining or simply relaxing. Enclosed by yew hedging and a high flint wall it provides great privacy. Behind the house is a large second courtyard, again paved for ease of maintenance, with separate pedestrian gate, and pleached red robin and flower beds.
